Literacy History

By the help of my parents and teachers when I was younger I learned to read and write. I learned my letters when I was in preschool, but I didn't know what they meant. I remember my mom reading to me in English and my grandma in Spanish. My first book I read all by myself was "If you give a mouse a cookie" by Laura Joffe Numeroff. My favorite book at the time was David Goes to School. After learning my letters and learning to read I felt good I felt smarter. Then I keep getting older and from the few words I learned in kindergarden is nothing to what I can read and write now.
